Ambisousa — institutional website for a waste management company
Custom website and backend for Ambisousa, an inter-municipal solid waste treatment company in Portugal's Sousa Valley, with its own content management to publish activity, projects, and institutional communication. Built 50/50 with another developer.
Context
Ambisousa needed to renew its web presence and stop relying on third parties to publish and maintain its institutional content. We built it together with another developer, splitting the work evenly between frontend and backend.
Role
Co-developer, 50/50 with a colleague — even split between frontend (Next.js) and backend (Spring Boot).
Problem
The company needed to publish and keep its own institutional content up to date — activity, infrastructure, projects, data, communication, and environmental awareness campaigns — for its six municipalities, without depending on an external agency for every change.
Solution
Spring Boot backend with MySQL, exposing an API to manage each section's content, and a Next.js frontend consuming that API to serve the full site: company, activity, projects, data, communication, awareness, and contact.
Result
Live in production at ambisousa.nunosousa.pt, with in-house content management for the six municipalities the company serves across the Sousa Valley.
